Souvenirs of Barcelona, 2009
In 2009 I visited Barcelona, fulfilling a lifelong desire. I found it as wonderful as expected and realized the city's incredible history and architecture would make any meaningful work about this experience difficult to bring into being. I did however, find and collect floor and wall tiles that I found on the beaches, producing this short series of images of my "souvenirs".
