In The Seam, Installation at the Eaton Centre: This body of work, Was developed after my daughter Alexa was diagnose as Deaf. I began to read the history of the Deaf and reflect on the community my daughter was part of. The historical image of the deaf soccer players was hung to create a shadow over my daughter's eyes. This image had handwritten labels add to the shirts of each player  D for Deaf DM for Deaf Mute and A and AA for the hard of hearing. At the time when I was struggling with medical labels being placed on my daughter this image stuck me as it was self labeling in order to play a game. The shoes and hearing aid moulds represented the innocence of a child and the mementos parents would keep. 1994.
